Happy July 4th!

I hope everyone had as fantastic of a July 4th holiday as we did! Tammy, James, Kevin, Kelly and Klayton came over to the house and we celebrated this great American holiday with a few American classics - hamburgers, cold beer, homemade apple pie and homemade vanilla ice cream. It's days like this one that make me realize how blessed I am. It was great to spend a day with good friends and be able to just relax and enjoy this wonderful country that we live in.

After we were stuffed with great burgers (thanks to Jason!) we headed out to enjoy the Buda fireworks. We didn't know it when we parked, but we had front row seats. They set off the fireworks right across the street from us! Needless to say, the fireworks were very loud, really bright and absolutely amazing. Of course, Anneliese and Klayton weren't too sure what to think about them, but they both eventually came around to them.

Unfortunately, I have no pictures of the fireworks because the batteries in the camera died, but I did get a few great pics of Anneliese and Klayton. I think they're really beginning to learn how to play together. Anneliese and I are looking forward to a lot more playdates with Klayton and Kelly!

Here's to getting into the spirit of the holiday!

Klayton was trying to help Anneliese get her shirt on and they both found it quite amusing.

We did get them to enjoy a little quiet time. All of the adults actually got to eat at the same time while the kiddos did a little coloring.

Thanks to Jason, James and Tammy and Kevin, Kelly and Klayton for coming over and celebrating with us. We had a great time and appreciate your friendship!
