September

We love September!

The greatest thing about September is that our beautiful, smiley, chatty, feisty, smart, sweet, sweet baby girl celebrates a birthday! We cannot wrap our minds around the fact that Ainsley is 2. We are so blessed by the happiness she brings us! We celebrated with a small party that was perfect!

Of course, September also brings football season! We are enjoying being here to support the SHS Indians more - Anneliese is quite the cheerleader and Ainsley has perfected her "go bue go bue go bue go" cheer.

And the girls have already cheered on the Longhorns. Anneliese is a seasoned pro at the long day that is UT football.

Ainsley is quickly picking up on what it all means:

hanging out in the wagon

admiring the many ways to cheer on the Longhorns

turning herself into a Longhorn

and of course, eating at the game.

We are loving life and thank God every day for His blessings.

Back to School

It's official - Anneliese is a Sacred Heart Indian! She walked into that school ready to go this morning, found her seat and started playing with play-doh. I think Kindergarten is going to be a great year!

Summer '11

Wow! We have been busy, busy, busy here at the Noska house! Lots has happened since the last post. First, Anneliese graduated from Pre-K! I am just completely shocked that my baby is going into Kindergarten!

Then we spent the better part of June packing and unpacking as we moved to Hallettsville. We are really enjoying the quiet life of small town living!

The month of July first brought SHS mini-cheer camp. Once again, Anneliese couldn't wait for it to start and had a great time learning cheers and dances to show her SHS school spirit. She was so excited to get to wear some of her new Indian t-shirts!

Then came our annual beach vacation with my family. Once again, it was a great 5 days and everyone had a great time! The girls could not get enough of the pool or the beach!

And this was Amanda's inaugural year at the beach! We are so happy to have her become part of our family!

And, of course, with summer comes fun just clowning around at home.

I can't believe that Summer 2011 is coming to a very quick end. School starts in just 3 weeks! Here's hoping that with summer ending, there's also an end in sight for the 100 degree weather! Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Love, the Noskas

The Return to Blogging!

It's the big comeback! I've decided that with summer coming, I need to get back to blogging. It's way more fun for people to look at and I think I can post a link on facebook and then people know when I update it. My beautiful babies are growing up way too fast and I don't want to forget anything so I'm determined to do a better job of taking pictures and sharing them with friends and family!

Anneliese had her 1st ever dance recital last night and it was so cute! She's been taking ballet and tap at school this whole year and all of the girls were so cute last night. Talk about an overload of pink!!!

My mind is also set on taking more pictures of Ainsley so that she doesn't have "second child syndrome" if it's not too late. As soon as I get on that, I'll post those! ;)

Happy 3 day weekend, everyone!

Ainsley turns 1!!!

Yeah, yeah, I know what you're thinking. Ainsley's birthday was over a month ago. Poor baby is going to have "2nd child syndrome" for sure. Whatever, she'll get over it, right? Let's hope.

We celebrated her birthday with a party at Nana and Granddaddy's house. The weather was perfect, we had great food, lots of family and good friends there to share the day. What more could we ask for? Thanks to everyone who came to help our baby girl celebrate turning 1!

This one was so cute - the caption would have to be "Whatcha talkin' bout, Willis?"

Back to School

Can you believe the summer is over and it's time to go back to school?!?! Time doesn't really ever slow down. It just moves faster and faster each year!

We officially have a Pre-K'er in our house! Anneliese has now survived a full week of Pre-K4! She bounced out of bed (her own bed!) last Thursday morning and was ready to go. As soon as she saw her friends at school, it was as if they'd never spent 2 months apart. Her teacher is Mrs. Jones and she is one of the sweetest people I've ever met. After seven days, Anneliese is loving school!

Here's pictures from the first couple of days:

Here's to hoping that the rest of the school year runs as smoothly as the first week! Good luck to all you parents out there who have kids about to start a new school year!

We don't want to leave Ainsley out - here's what she's been up to lately:

As you can tell, she's not quite mastered the art of eating but she is perfecting the art of making a mess!
Love,
Brandon, Jennifer, Anneliese & Ainsley

Mischief

I've said this many, many times but it's worth repeating - life is NEVER dull with 2 girls around. Last Thursday was a particularly mischievous day for my sweet babies.

First of all, Ainsley was out of my sight for about a minute and a half and when she crawled back into sight this is what I saw:

I'm not sure how she managed to get her diaper off. I sure hope this isn't the start of a new hobby of hers!

I thought this was going to be the mischief of the day. Little did I know that Anneliese was going to suffer from temporary insanity that afternoon. Most of you have heard the story by now but in case you haven't - she went over to our neighbor's to play. Well, their play involved cutting Anneliese's hair! Needless to say, we were completely heartbroken that her gorgeous curls were gone.

Here's what she looked like when she came home from the neighbor's:

And here's the finished product after taking her to get it fixed:

It's cute but it just breaks our hearts that she looks so much older. We're just not ready for our "baby" to grow up. :(

Here's to hoping that's all the mischief that happens at our house for a while!
